The Hills Valley Coalition Welcomes New Committee

Jennifer Zimmerman & Jennifer Charnow CO-COORDINATORS Jennifer Zimmermann has been a Bergen County resident her whole life, has a son Sebastian (10) who attends their local public school. Jenn graduated with a BSW from Rutgers University and received her master’s degree in Social Work from New York University, which fueled her passion to become a change agent on a macro-level. She began her career in clinical settings, where she worked in mental health and substance organizations supporting adolescents and their families all throughout New Jersey. In September of 2019, she decided to change her career path to education to support prevention efforts within a high school setting. In 2019, she was appointed to the Ramsey Municipal Alliance where she gained most of her experience and worked within the community to enhance mental health and substance abuse awareness. In September 2020, she will serve as the Student Assistance Coordinator at Pascack Hills High School and will lead the same efforts and serve her students and families. Jennifer believes in community and working together to promote wellness and unity. Born and raised in NYC, Jen Charnow and her husband Sean made the move to WCL in 2006. She has 2 children Jacob (16) and Madeline (12) both of whom attend our local public schools. Jen brings with her an undergraduate degree in Psychology from Skidmore College as well as a Masters in Social Work from Columbia University. She created the ever-growing WCL PFA Parent Academy program and is the Stigma-free Coordinator for the Town of Woodcliff Lake. Jen has been actively involved in the Hills Valley Coalition for the past several years and has a deep passion for breaking the “stigma” surrounding mental illness and substance abuse. Her favorite acronym is “WITT” . . . We’re In This Together” which directly aligns with the coalitions motto “Linked Together We Are Stronger”.
